A New Tool to Maintain Maximum Heat Transfer
Rochester Midland has teamed up with a leading manufacturer of polymers, Rohm and Haas, to bring you a revolutionary method of tracking polymer levels in cooling water. The new system uses a "tagged" polymer called Optidose, developed by Rohm & Haas. The new tagged polymer can be identified with a simple field test. Now you can know exactly how much product is available to combat scaling or fouling by simply measuring the level of free polymer in the water.
Benefits You Saves Money & Saves Time
- Minimize chemical costs without risking system failure or loss of production. By accurately tracking concentrations, you optimize the dosage and maintain consistent concentration levels.
- Maintain clean heat transfer, maximize your equipment life. The ability to monitor free polymer means you have early warning of fouling before it occurs,
- System operator can easily monitor polymer levels with simple test srip.
- Our simple, easy-to-use Test Kit minimizes time and expense of testing.
How Does it Work?
It used to be impossible to know how much water treatment product in your system was "free" available to combat corrosion and fouling. There was no way to test, so the best guess was to track the total dosed polymer and hope it was enough.
Optidose polymers in water treatment products from RMC are unique because the have a chemical "tag" permanently attached. This tag has no impact on the performance of the polymer in your system but it reacts with specific immunoassay reagents to identify the concentration of product.
