Robert Matthews is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC), a Peak Rock Capital portfolio company.

Robert leads RMC’s mergers and acquisitions strategy, deal sourcing, and overall execution to drive growth across the company’s core markets. Since joining RMC in 2024, Robert has played a pivotal role in the successful completion of six strategic acquisitions that have expanded RMC’s capabilities, strengthened geographic reach, and accelerated the company’s overall growth momentum.

Robert brings significant experience in corporate development and M&A within the specialty chemicals industry. Prior to joining RMC, he held corporate development roles at Element Solutions Inc., a global, publicly traded specialty chemicals leader. He began his career in investment banking at Deloitte Corporate Finance. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University.

Robert is passionate about partnering closely with founders, owners, and management teams to structure win-win deals that deliver strong value creation for all stakeholders and support RMC’s next phase of expansion.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys golf, sport fishing, and diving.
